This Colloquium will at the highest levels consider developments in Competition and Regulatory Law in France and Britain, the relation between them and prospects for harmonisation – examining how the newly adopted EU Directive on antitrust damages actions may interact with French and British domestic law and that of the USA and affect the risks confronting businesses and how regulation and competition are relied on to protect the interest of the consumer with particular reference to the energy, food and retail industries.

Speakers include renowned specialists and practitioners from Britain, France and the US

The event is Co-chaired by Madame Jacqueline Riffault-Silk, Judge at the Cour de Cassation, and Peter Freeman CBE QC(hc) A Chairman of the Competition Appeal Tribunal
