Above (and here) is the video recording of our 2ND PUBLIC POLICY WEBINAR “The end of uncertainty?”: practical questions after BREXIT: Persons, devolved government and courts, held via Zoom on Thursday 30th July 2020. This second webinar, presented by The Franco-British Lawyers’ Society and the School of Law at Glasgow University, focused on persons and the problems of regulation inherent in the devolved governmental structure of the UK, as well as dialogue between judges.

The speakers were:

– Prof. Catherine Barnard, Professor of European Union and Labour Law at Trinity College, Cambridge a leading academic and policy commentator

– Fiona Godfrey, Chair of British in Europe, the largest body advocating for personal rights post Brexit.

– Prof. Sylvaine Poillot-Peruzzetto, Conseillère at the Cour de cassation, Professor of private law at the University of Toulouse who has particular knowledge of how problems cross borders and the role of dialogue in addressing them

– Michael Russell, Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, Europe and External Affairs, Scottish Government with ministerial responsibility for Scotland’s status post Brexit

Chaired by Ian Forrester LL.D QC, former judge of the General Court, Court of Justice of the European Union, President of the Franco-British Lawyers’ Society
