The new legal tools and legal framework regarding judicial cooperation post Brexit

The Franco-British Lawyers Society is delighted to invite you to a webinar addressing current aspects of cross-border judicial cooperation post Brexit. The discussion will revolve around judicial cooperation in criminal, civil and commercial law. The panelists will describe the new legal framework as well as the available tools for future cooperation. There will be a Q&A session at the end of the webinar.

This event will be introduced by Leonardo Carpentieri (Vice President for England & Wales of the Franco-British Lawyers Society) and moderated by the Society’s President, Judge Ian Forrester:

Ian Forrester QC LLD Barrister, President of the Franco-British Lawyers Society, former Judge of the General Court of the European Union from 2015 to 2020.

The speakers for this event will be:

Estelle Cros French Liaison Judge at the French Embassy in the United Kingdom. Estelle worked at the Court of Appeal of Saint-Denis de la Réunion as an adviser in charge of the general secretariat. She is a specialist in the instruments of international mutual assistance in criminal matters due to her varied experience in overseas or cross-border jurisdictions.

Holly Gallagher Holly started her career working for the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury of the British Government, on contentious matters. Holly then joined a team specialised in national security and counterterrorism before working at the Court of Justice of the European Union. She is currently the Liaison Judge of the United Kingdom in France.

The webinar is open to all. Registration is free and the event will be recorded.
