The event will be on Zoom for people who can’t attend in person.

The Franco-British Lawyers Society, with the support of Bank Lombard Odier, is delighted to invite you to a seminar aiming to compare and contrast tax issues relating to private clients on both sides of the Channel and look at the specific issues arising in cross-border matters.

The specific tax issues which will be discussed will include the inheritance tax and the gift tax, as well as income tax questions and the French Impôt sur la Fortune Immobilière.

We will have the pleasure to have a panel composed by the following speakers:

Thomas Serizay
  • Thomas Serizay is a wealth planner within LO Patrimonia S.A. and is a member of its Management. His primary areas of expertise are in wealth and estate planning for France and the United Kingdom. Thomas is also responsible for the Tax Efficient Portfolio Management services. He has 14 years of practise in the field of private client advice. Thomas joined the Lombard Odier Group in 2008. Before that, he worked as a tax lawyer with Linklaters LLP in Paris, France. Thomas is a qualified lawyer in France (Paris Bar, non practising) and an England & Wales solicitor (non practising). He also holds a Master in International Tax Law, University of Paris 2/HEC, France, and a LLM in International Tax Law from the New York Law School, USA.
Edward Reed
  • Edward Reed advises internationally mobile families on their asset structuring, personal tax and succession planning wills, trusts and personal tax planning. Having been educated both in the UK and in France, Edward has developed an affinity for civil law issues generally. He is a bilingual French speaker and fluent in Italian.
Patrick Delas
  • Patrick Delas, Senior Associate at Russell Cooke Solicitors whose specialty includes advising on French and cross-border issues including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, wealth tax and trust reporting obligations.
Diane Le Grand de Belleroche
  • Diane Le Grand de Belleroche, a partner at BeFair Avocats in Paris, Diane is an Avocat at the French Bar and a solicitor of England and Wales. She specialises in international private client matters, in particular in international successions, and advises clients both in France and abroad, with a particular focus on situations split between France and England, from the time of the estate planning to the moment of the administration. She is fully STEP qualified and she regularly publishes articles and speaks at conferences in France and abroad.

Diane will also intervene as the panel moderator.
