82e Appel du 18 Juin 1944 par Général de GAULLE – Ceremony on samedi le 18 Juin 2022,

For the first time since 2019 the ceremony took place without limited numbers and open again to the public. It took place in front of the statue of the General which is opposite the Head Quarters of General de Gaulle and The Free French Forces. As traditionally, it consisted of a 1) speech by the Minister Gerrit Van Rossum, à patron of the Society, 2) investiture of Military medals, 3) Commémoration and laying of wreaths and reading by a student from the Lycée Charles De Gaulle of the words of the Appel 18 June BBC broadcast by General de Gaulle to occupied France, and ending with the Marseillaise. The words of the Appel to all French people.
The Minister Gerrit Van Rossum and senators, deputy for the UK and the senior naval military and the Consul General. After the representatives thanked the Consul General for all his support over the last three years as he is soon to move to a new posting.
