Cérémonie de l’Armistice 11h jeudi le 11 novembre 2021 –  Cimitiere Militaire Française, Brookwood, Surrey.

Armistice Day Ceremony 11h Thursday 11th November 2021 – French Military Cemetery, Brookwood, Surrey.

The Society was part of the small group invited by the French Ambassadrice to this ceremony of remembrance.

Wreaths were laid in front of the memorial. The first wreath was laid by HE Ambassadrice Catherine COLONNA and the Defence Attaché Admiral Hervé HAMELIN.

In silence the Ambassadrice read the names of each of the French military personnel who had sacrificed their lives since last year’s ceremony. After each name she said ‘Mort pour la France’ –  ‘Died for France’

The Society was represented at the ceremony by Simon HORSINGTON, Vice-Président d’Honneur founder.

L’Association faisait parti du petit groupe invité par l’Ambassadrice pour cette cérémonie de souvenir.

Les couronnes et les gerbes étaient posées devant le mémorial. La première par SE l’Ambassadrice Catherine COLONNA, Patron De l’Association, avec l’attaché de défense CA Hervé HAMELIN.

Dans le silence l’Ambassadrice lisait les noms des militaires ‘morts pour la France’ depuis l’année dernière.

L’Association était représenté par son Vice-Président D’honneur fondateur, Simon HORSINGTON
