Two awards were made in 2007 under the Prix Universitaire Entente Cordiale et Jour J – Robertson Horsington Prize (Picture):
46th ROYAL MARINE COMMANDOS – 6th – 12th JUNE 1944
– A sum of 1 900 euros was awarded to the Ecole des Avocats de la Région Rhône-Alpes in Lyon to assist with the expenses of 3 trainees from the College of Law in Birmingham spending a month’s period of ‘stage’ in Lyon and 3 trainees from the Ecole des Avocats doing likewise in Birmingham.
– A sum of 1 000 euros was awarded to the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne to assist with the expenses of current students on the English part of the Double Maitrise programme between Paris I andKing’s College, London, attending the Colloquium in Paris in November 2007 to mark the 30th anniversary of the programme.
Three awards were made to UK Universities under the Award Scheme in 2007:
– £1,200 was awarded to Queen’s University Belfast, of which £1,000 was towards the costs of an introductory study visit by students from Queen’s to the University of Cergy-Pontoise, and the remainder for two prizes of £100 each for the best performing students in their law with French degree and in their module in Civil Law
– £1,000 was awarded to the University of East Anglia to assist with tuition fees for French post-graduate students at Norwich Law School
-£1,000 was awarded to the University of Edinburgh towards the costs of a study visit by UK academics to Paris to discover the French legal system.
